2003-2009 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Steering Box Brace

These bars are designed to help the sector shaft on steering box from flexing when turning steering wheel. This in turn will tighten up your steering wheel feel and stop a lot of the road wondering, saves your box from prematurely wearing out or breaking due to negative offsets, lift kits, & offroad tire stress. These units are designed around using aftermarket sway bars like Thuren or Carli where most braces don't.
People advertise that these will solve all your steering issues, well folks that is not true. Only thing I 100% claim is that this will save your box from wearing out fast and not have a selector shaft failure. The rest of the benefits are icing on top of the cake :)
There are a ton of people making these bars and there is a race to the bottom and they do one bar that fits all 2003-2024 by doing big massive holes to allow fitment. We have have 6 different bars to ensure the best fitment to your truck.

- 3/16 1080 metal, laser cut in house.
- 4130 chromoly material (similar to grade 8+), CNC Milled pitman arm nut with zinc coating. Most other brands use cheap grade 5 hex stock and easily thread it. We start from 2" chromoly bar. Our spud nut also has self centering feature for the lock washer to create even pressure on pitman arm. This is what sets us apart from everyone else.

There has been a recent change to the Big box size, we now have have modified it to fit both sizes.
Some lift kits may require you to do modifications for fitment. Does not fit all Carli 6" lifts.
-If you have a PSC ,Borgeson big box, most likely you have the small shaft but the big box. MEASURE SHAFT diameter of threaded area first before ordering!!!!!!!!!!!
Lots of people say the Big box is six bolt, but there are Big box with 4 bolts too, so always measure your shaft!
7/8" is small, just under 1.25" is large (30mm). Super easy to tell just by looking at it. We are not responsible for you selecting wrong size brace or shaft nuts. See product pics for more help. To help you measure, you can use the open end of a 7/8" wrench to help.

Modifications maybe needed for plow mounts
( I will not know what needs to be done, many
different plow brands do different things) - Does not fit Carli 6" lift.
- May need to be modified for some lift kits.
From a referral to phone support and questions answered everything has been very good. Able to get it installed with no problems and in just a few minutes after the old BD box brace was removed. I was going on the second BD repair kit. Called about this one and made the change. Only time will tell. As I changed out all the steering components on my 06 RAM 2500 4wd. Thanks again.

After some very quick responses from Chris I had a steering box brace shipped for my 08 3500. Wild what a difference something so simple could make. My leveled on 35's truck no longer drives like an 80's highboy. I wish I would of done this kit a long time ago.

I was a bit hesitant when purchasing a brace in the first place. I originally purchased an “eBay” brace for $60 because I’m a firm believer in using cheap parts that work. Well guess what, the eBay brace was so far off it wouldn’t even line up with the shaft.
I searched around and found even the big name brands had fitment issues. I started to become worried until one day someone on Facebook suggested Bad axe. I am blown away with the quality of the brace, the powdercoat finish and even the hardware they send. It is all top notch. Fitment was perfect and I installed it in 30 minutes. After the first drive, I was blown away. No more wandering on the highway, turn ins feel tight and firm and it even cut the slop in my steering wheel by a solid 75-80% which is just an added bonus.
A++++ on this product. Don’t hesitate to spend the money and do it right the first time.
Usually I wait a while for a review. I want to test the product to see if it performs. Let me tell you, this product is WORTH THE MONEY! I noticed immediately the steering seemed improved. It wasn't until driving I-26 under construction where this showed how much it helped! Normally I had bump steer, but with this installed I'm cruising with little input needed. Probably the best $200 I've spent on the truck, hands down.

Got this to replace another brand steering brace that didn’t fit after installing a 6 bolt steering box. Bad Axe brace went in easier than the previous brand and looks and feels better quality. 15 minutes max install.
