Yes this kit costs more, but that is due to USA made with superior materials and joints. This is literally the best and the last steering kit you will ever need to buy. We make no money after the sale, every other company gets to sell their cheap joints to you every 30k miles and you will need another alignment again.
Our steering was designed to keep OEM geometry which lots of people think it's bad, but in truth the T style is really good the joints just wear out fast. With keeping the OEM geometry, you have less chances to get death wobble or a dead spot in the steering wheel.

- KEY FEATURE WE OFFER THAT OTHERS DO NOT IS THAT YOU CAN ADJUST THE TOP CAPS TO REMOVE THE SLACK IN THE JOINTS AS THEY WEAR IN.
- Drag link and Tie rod is USA 1.5" DOM, with thick 3/8” wall tube.
- Custom made 4340 Heat treated Chromoly Joints are adjustable to take up slack as the joints wear in to keep a new steering feel all the time. Not overseas ones that wear out in 30k miles like other aftermarket brands. These joints have been used in the Military and Nascar for over 20 years.
- Rebuildable joints, IF you actually ever need to rebuild the joints, you won't even need a new alignment after rebuild.
- OEM Geometry, the reason nobody does this is because it is too hard to manufacture with good materials. By keeping the original geometry this means you don’t get the normal aftermarket dead spot in steering wheel and tie rod flop. Yes, we mention this a lot and for a good reason. Our passenger Tie rod is gated like the original joint. This is huge to keep a good feeling in steering wheel and not have to use rubber rock crawler style wobble stoppers like other aftermarket companies do.
- Joint starts to get slack in it? No problem, just tighten it up with the adjusting cap. You will be good as new again.
- Alignments can be done in the truck by one person!
- NO JAM NUTS. Complete game changer here. Jam nuts are great if you get to the required torque of 200ft lbs. But most people only can get them to 90ft lbs and they come loose causing premature failure, even with the failed Japanese's assassin washer.

Steering alone will help but not fix other steering related issues if you have these items bad so, Please check them prior purchase or install.
- We do not warranty stripped bolts, use a torque wrench and quality sockets.
- Track bar/bushings (don't do just replace with cheap bushings, it is a band aid at best)
- 14mm bolts on 03-07 track bars (need 16mm from 08-13)
- Bad ball joints (or moog, same thing)
- Worn out steering box
- Bad lift geometry
- Bad alignment
- Super worn out mud tires, or China tires.
- Massive negative wheels with little tires.

If you have the 03-07 Y steering system, you need the T steering pitman arm. Small Box MOPAR part number 68039930AA from 08-09. If not you will have bumpsteer!

These parts are EVERYTHING you would expect to see for perfect peace of mind. Perfect geometry, serviceable, and an insane level of strength engineered in. I ordered this kit after my previous aftermarket tie rod nut fell off leaving me stranded. I explained my situation to Chris and he shipped out a kit right away. I double checked with him that no special tools were needed, gathered my tools and set off to my truck, four hours away in azero cell service part of New Mexico. After removing my old tie rod and drag link the Bad Axe parts went on smoothly. Even the roadside alignment was a breeze thanks to the large adjustment collars. Last plus I noticed while driving out was that my bump steer was gone. Thank you Chris!

2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4.5” lift. I’ve had this truck for about 12 years. I’ve have been through a handful of different steering setups from OEM to part store brands. I had just come to terms that this truck will always have sloppy steering like everyone else says. I decided to try Chris’s steering system kit after seeing tons of posts on social media from people with nothing but positive feedback. The parts came in quickly, packaged professionally and with good instructions. Even came in a hard gun case for added shipping protection which I thought was an awesome idea. Chris was super easy to work with. My son is the one that told me to purchase the front end kit for my 06 Dually. When I got the parts in, I was surprised, pleasantly. The finish powder coating is exceptional. The size of the pieces are huge, which which means it is stout. I couldn’t be happier with the end product. You’ll know you made the right choice when you open up the rifle case! It’s a solid product, it looks military grade, zerk fittings and adjustable as the joints wear. What more could you ask for? On top of that, the customer service is excellent, Chris is always responsive to any questions I have.
I purchased a steering linkage from the competition. Straight out of the box I had issues with it. Also was in a time crunch to get the truck finished. Long story short, I called Chris and asked if he had a steering linkage in stock. Luckily for me he did, he shipped it out that day and next day air(I was in a hurry). Did I get it next day? No, Chris did explain they just had been hit with a winter storm, I took a chance on UPS…. But! Chris answered the phone, answered my questions, shipped the product same day. The service could not have been better. The linkage went together great, love the ease of adjustment. Yes torquing the couplers is time consuming. Big deal. I really like this style coupler compared to the competitors. Truck drives great. Definitely will purchase from Bad Axe again!

Easy install and can definitely feel the difference in my front end, on top of my other upgrades I've made (Thuren trac bar, Thuren 2" coils, kryptonite bal joints). Definitely appreciate the well put together spec instructions and how heavy and well built the setup is. Chris jumped on a problem I had and overnight shipped the part I needed, since I had a hunting trip coming up. Can't thank him enough and the quick communication!!
If you're on edge about spending the money, just do it. Don't waste your money on a cheaper set up, or another brand. You get what you pay for and the quality/communication shows in this company!!!

Was very surprised at the excellent packaging, anything with a dual purpose is awesome. Especially since it’s a rifle case they ship the parts in. Now onto the goods. Very Very high quality, the whole setup is exactly what I wanted. I switched from the stock bar and a thuren drag link. The thuren piece is beefy but adjustability is a real pain, this kit allows more adjustment and the track bar is pretty beefy as well. I really like the coatings applied and the adjusters are easy to use. It took about two hours taking my time to pop out the old bars and install these, it was a very easy install. Steering was instantly more solid.

I bought the upgraded steering links to convert by old "Y style" steering to the "T style" along with steering box brace, and intermediate shaft bushings. I also upgraded by steering box to the Mopar 6 bolt. My truck now drives better then it did when I took it off of the lot back in 2006. Chris was awesome to work with when I needed his help and directions. He answered by calls and texts even on a Saturday and Sunday. I wish more companies had this level of service. Arrived this past Thursday, installed 2 days later.
Steering is very responsive. I also did EMF ball joints and replaced U-joints for the front axle shafts. Had one cup on the drivers side where the bearings were powdered. Passengers side was junk. Will get an alignment next week. One issue i had were the grease zerts on the drag link, zerks were to far recessed in the joint for my grease gun. Replaced with taller ones.
I almost wonder if jam nuts on the threaded adjustments would be a good idea.
I haven't put the kit on the truck yet but sweet baby Jesus, just opening the most American shipping container to be rewarded with the THICKEST and sturdiest feeling linkage in the history of man......shewww what a feeling.....I bought a true American product. So far so good, I fuckin love it. Keep kicking ass guys!

Replaced my blown out factory Y style linkage with this one paired with a Fox stabilizer - the Bad Axe linkage makes the old one look like a joke! Seriously well built and extremely beefy. Steering immediately felt tighter from the first drive. Everything was packaged well and Chris was a great guy to work with. I have no doubts this will hold up to a lot of abuse - most of the desert prerunner Rams I follow are running this set up too. Zero complaints over here.
