14+ 2500, 13+3500 DIFF COVER WITH GUARD
DIFF COVER WITH BUILT IN GUARD/BASH PLATE.
All 1/4" Formed design
Milled face for perfect surface.
Powder coated black
Designed to ensure fluid gets thrown to the top of the ring gear like OEM does.
Harsh truth about aftermarket diff covers........ Adding extra fluid capacity does nothing! In fact OEM covers are designed to throw oil to the top of the ring gear. When you make a cover that is larger the cover doesn't throw as much fluid to the top to ring gear.
Nobody has ever overheated gears with OEM covers, if anything goes wrong it typically is the users error. Larger covers are more for looks than anything, the work part is they don't clear aftermarket track bars! A real track bar is a million times more beneficial than a cover that actually cools the gears less.
Priced extremely fair considering the Carli diff guard is $225.
Must use OEM thick reusable gasket, DON'T use RTV this isn't 1970 any more!
MUST USE OEM FLUID OR AMSOIL, this goes for front and rear. I have been down this road personally. Just trust me here, I have chased this in personal trucks and countless customers rigs .... Personal story I thought I had a bearing going out on my 14, when towing and turning left it would chatter bad! I took it a rearend shop, they agree it would be the outside bearings. But they looked like new when we took them out. The "good" fluid I purchased right before my trip is what caused the issues. This also happened in my Dmax with the gov lock not unlocking with the "good fluid" (MXXXL!) I have never had an issue with OEM or Amsoil.
